About Us

Herbland is a clinic practising traditional Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture. Herbland is owned by LinksToChina Ltd.

Our chief consultant is Dr Shuan Bi who has extensive experience in treating patients using traditional approaches including Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, acupressure, cupping and massage.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a system of health care that has been proved effective by a history of over 5,000 years. Unlike the orthodox Western medicine, TCM views our health in a holistic way. A human body is regarded as being made up of two opposing forces of Yin and Yang. When the two forces in our body are out of balance, we will feel sick and symptoms arise.

As a result, our doctors will diagnose illnesses in a way different from a GP. They will look at a patient's tongue and feel his/her pulse. They might also look at other parts of the patient's body to gain more information about his/her internal organs and their energies.

Once an illness is diagnosed, our doctors will prescribe a treatment that focuses on restoring the balance of the body's Yin and Yang. A treatment will be carried out using one form of or combination of herbal medicine, acupuncture, accupressure, cupping and foot massage. Our doctors will always treat the entire person of a patient, i.e. both the physical and mental aspects to cure the illness.

Our Services

Herbal Remedies
A mixture of herbs is prescribed, in the form of herbal tea, pills or tablets. The composition of herbal tea varies with patient and condition.

Acupuncture
Fine, disposable needles are used. Sometimes a low voltage, weak pulse is applied to a needle to enhance the effect. Acupuncture does not hurt.

Cupping
Air inside a special glass cup is heated so that it expands. The cup, bottom up, is put on the area to be treated. As the air inside the cup cools down quickly, the cup sucks on the skin.

Foot Massage (Reflexology)
There are reflexes in our feet that correspond to every part of our body. Chinese foot massage can cure many disorders and alleviate pain.
