Hi. After 8 weeks in Xi'an, I have just moved to Suizhou. I am teaching English here for the next year. I have been divorced and living on my own for a long time. I came to China, not just to teach, but to get involved with Chinese culture. So far I have loved every minute of my time here, and will probably stay for years. I may never go back. My two daughters are married in England and, though we are close, they live their own lives now. We are happy to meet twice a year. Although I am overweight, I look quite young and have already lost 9 kilos since I got here. I think that Chinese ladies are very beautiful, but in my normal working life I find it difficult to meet any over the age of 16! I would like to meet a Chinese lady, 30 to 45 years, with no school age children. I do not have a car in China, so I am probably restricted to Suizhou and Wuhan. I will soon start learning Chinese, but at present it is very poor, so I really need to meet someone who can speak some English. My English friends are younger than me and having a good time here. I am having a good time too, but aspire to something more serious. I still enjoy going for a drink, but I have never smoked and do not want to become involved with a lady who smokes. I prefer long hair and slim figures, but will consider any attractive lady who would like to go out with me. I realise there are cultural difficulties with this. So if somebody wants to meet me, and would be happier bringing a friend for support on the first few occasions, then I understand.
